Tanya Curtis - "This is vastly different to any exercise I have done before" - Gold Coast
I started to have exercise sessions with Bev Carter at the end of 2015. In the past I had engaged in many different forms of exercising from team sports, gym, personal training, yoga, pilates, swimming, running etc. I've always liked being active however often found that due to injury, business or some other reason I have never maintained a consistency.
I also found there was one element that never felt right for me … they all involved pushing my body. I went along with this approach, often resulting in injury or my body experiencing flu like symptoms after exercise. Eventually I stopped everything for about five years and simply chose walking as my only form of exercise.
At the end of 2015 i started classes with Bev Carter. I cannot find the right words to explain how vastly different this experience has been in comparison to anything else i have engaged in.
First and most importantly, with Bev’s support I’ve learnt to incorporate exercise in a way that has me re-connect to my body, where all else i had engaged in resulted in me dis-connecting from my body. Bev makes it about supporting me and my body to be together 100% of the way offering a refinement beyond that which I have ever experienced. I have also developed a relationship with exercise where it is no longer about pushing my body - rather supporting my body in a way that allows my body to accustom itself to the exercise and then move to the next level - never pushing the body beyond what it is ready for.
And above all else - i have fun. Each session is filled with much fun, laughter, joy and connection that i carry into my day and week moving forward.
