Great to be back with the group sessions. With daily - almost daily - practice my hamstrings are noticeably more flexible. I am enjoying the commitment to take responsibility for my body by the daily exercise rhythm and routine.

Following our session I am finding that sitting on my ball is a tangible call to stillness in my body. I was working at home the other day, and was due to have a phone meeting where I would be providing legal support. I felt the session 'drop in', and also that deeper stillness was called for. I went to the ball, and recalled Bev asking us in our session what your ball reflected to us in terms of stillness. What was interesting was that I found that my ball was solid and still below me, and I too was solid and still in my connection…..BUT I wouldn't accept that I was in fact still, that this was what my ball was reflecting to me. And so I observed myself sort of introduce an unnecessary vibration or wobble into the ball. Crazy. I do love my ball though, and its call to stillness.

Practicing the movements to a greater or lesser degree has become part of my daily rhythm, there was just one day where I was unable to practice any of the moves and I had the feeling there was something missing from my day. Like Catherine I too love my ball, right from the very first class when we met. Sitting on it I find it is a great reflector of my stillness and also supports me to return to my stillness when I am less than still. Rememberng to shine is still a bit of a hit and miss affair, lets say its a work in progress and I will bring more committment and focus to shining brightly in the coming week and see what that reveals.

When I do my home play, I am reminded of your expression Beverly and it focuses me to keep my connection. Things like ‘start straight as a pencil’ or sitting on the ball ‘shine a torch from the cervix to the floor.’ It stops me going back into the old way of exercising. I think I will do the ‘shine’ daily forever more, it has become a part of my waking up daily routine now. Your way of explaining exercises is so beautiful and inspiring thank you.

I love how my body is always reflecting for me in an amazingly sensitive way how I am responding to the world around me. Today, when I felt, in the half rainbow, that I was holding the whole universe in my arms and that I was part of it, I felt how my movement is part of that universal flow and pulse. Having hurt my back yesterday it was obvious where I have restricted that flow and expansiveness through an unloving and disconnected reaction. These last three sessions have shown me how to trust that my body is always there for me, and that the movements I have slowly and consistently embodied through my daily practice are building a foundation of love in my body.
